MariaGuerreroYAzarolaMaria Guerrero y Azarola Faction: Glabadian Church Class: Holy Temple Knight (YE/Perky!), Master Swordswoman / Oracle (FFT) Level: 17 Race: Human Age: 22 Appearance: Dirty and disheveled, Maria is obviously NOT what the stories try to play up a beautiful knight woman to be. She has dark tan skin, light brown eyes, and wears her hair in simple dreadlocks to keep them out of her eyes. She's rarely seen out of her armor, which is fairly flexible and adept for boats and other areas where heavier armor may not be advantageous. Maria is very, very lost. Raised by farmers and fishers, Maria grew up on the Island of Azarola, an island nominally controlled by the Glabadian Church in the extreme northern region of The Archipelago (actually closer to the Isle of Man than any of the other Archipelago islands). In her late teens, Maria's parents placed her care and her education in the hands of a trusted priest in the Holy city of Murund, intending for her to either become a priestess or a knight - either way to leave the quiet life of a simple farmer and go on to bigger things. When she returned for a visit, she discovered that her island was taken over by pirates under the influence of a cabal of necromancers. Having been captured before even knowing what was going on, the pirates forced Maria to do their bidding with the idea that it would be better to have a human on their side than yet another one of the creepy members of the cabal. This didn't work out so well for either the pirates or the necromancers, as Maria quickly insinuated to her opponents that she was willing to negotiate in her first fight. All she wanted to go was to go back home and free her family from the evil that had ruined her island home... and a little vengeance goes a long way. Skills (Perky!):
