Astronomy

Sharna is in a very precarious location within the solar system. Widely believed to be no accident, the planet is exactly within the shadow of its parent planet Eshi Sol Sharna (commonly referred to by Sharnans as "The Sun"), a gas giant closely orbitting the star Nexus. Due to Eshi Sol Sharna's close proximity to Nexus, Sharna's ambient temperature would be several hundred degrees warmer than it actually is if it weren't for the fact that it is perpetually blocked from the rays of Nexus by its parent planet.

Not much is known about the stars outside of Sharna's system, as Sharna has only recently had contact with any outside races.
