RirithZern

Ririth Zern is the sixth and current President of the Miin Republic, having succeeded President Alazham Durai after his death during the First Battle of Cencilia. She is the daughter of former king Cid Zern and an unknown High Elven prostitute/temple maiden. She has two half-siblings, Mai Cencilia Zern and Belania Zern (deceased). Ririth is well known for her participation in several major historic events, including the |Miin Revolution| of 9165 and the Dwarven Revolution of 6131-6247. She is also a prolific inventor, having come up with the foundations for The Internet, Morse Code, and Cell Phones.

Due to her lineage, Ririth is technically of mixed race - she is half Mountain Elven and half High Elven. She is also technically of royal blood, being the eldest daughter of the last king of the Mountain Elves. Officially, due to a rather unusual law put into place in the Dwarven Constitution and copied over accidentally upon the creation of the Miin Constitution, she is classified as a Dwarf. As a part of that law, Ririth claims to be a Dwarf born in |Durharn|, rather than an elven princess born in Meridian, and takes great pleasure in being treated like "one of the dwarves" in Durharn during her monthly visits. This was actually useful when running as Vice President, due to Miin laws at the time prohibiting High Elves from holding public office (the law has since been repealed).

Ririth Zern is also blind, although she was not born blind and refuses to state the reason for her blindness. Beyond that, she appears to be a somewhat short High Elf with very short ears (or a somewhat short Mountain Elf with slightly shorter ears but paler skin), hauntingly blue eyes, and platinum blond hair. It is rumored that her smaller-than-normal ears might be a result of plastic surgery to allow her to more easily blend in with Humans if the need arises. Also as a result of her lineage, she is believed to be functionally immortal (or close to it), meaning she does not age beyond a certain point and cannot die of natural causes, which would explain why she would be a little over three thousand years old.
