Appearance and physical traits.

The Yeel are a genetically-engineered race of very short bipedal sapient creatures with greyish (with hints of light purple) skin, very large eyes. They stand at around 60-75cm (2 to 2.5') tall and weigh anywhere from 7-12 kg (15 to 25 lbs). Similar to other Sharnian species, they breathe oxygen, require a blended diet of protein, carbohydrates, and fats to sustain themselves (albeit a far smaller diet than most Sharnian species).

Unique features

The Yeel are almost entirely incapable of using any form of magic, heavily relying on technology instead. In addition, they have had fear of "touched" Taurians (ones that have accepted the boons of a Zodiac or Zetoz stone) engineered into them.

History

Not much is known about most of Yeel history, having been enslaved by Taurians long ago and their culture erased as a result. Three major things of note:

Yeel used to be incredibly magical, with their magicks being powerful enough to warp reality itself in a large area.
This magic was genetically engineered away from them via the Taurians (specifically the Zetoz) to make them more controllable.
Yeel originate from Sharna. How long ago this was is completely unknown.

The Yeel have a colony on the outskirts of the Nexus system. They are considered a very highly advanced civilization technology-wise, but do not rely upon the teleportation style of faster than light speed to transport between systems, instead relying on generation ships.
